Firefox and Username/Passwords

If you’re a firefox user and you have ever click on the remember my username and password option when accessing a website, you may be interested to know that with a couple of simple mouse clicks anyone that has access to your computer can see a full plain text list of those usernames and passwords.

Most browsers that store this sort of information, encrypt it in some way, or at least only show it as stars when the password dialog is displayed, but firefox seems to allow you to read both username and password in plain text from within preferences.

So be warned, especially if you the same passwords and usernames for other more sensitive applications.
